Beautiful autumn evening in Peter Tavy

Today was a beautiful sunny afternoon in November, cold and crisp with that autumnal feel and golden leaves all around our feet, I had spent most of the day in the garden whilst Robert was doing bits and bobs in the garage

At about 3PM we decided to go for a walk into Peter Tavy, we walked down the road and turned to the right following the public footpath down through the fields leading to the woods and on down to the edge of the river Tavy

When we got to the bottom, we stood on the old wooden bridge which crosses the Tavy and that leads onto Mary Tavy, we took time to just quietly reflect on our days activities, watching the water lapping over the rocks and the dislodged tree trunks

We continued on our walk up past the pub (sadly, it is closed at the moment due to the pandemic) and on into Peter Tavy as we were walking along we could see the makings of a beautiful sunset, so we carried on walking out through the village and within just a few minutes we saw this spectacular sight, the colours were just so intense it was really quite magical Within a space of about 10 minutes we had gone from a lovely sunny day to a dusky night
