Moorview Cottage is situated on the edge of Dartmoor National Park We are about five minutes drive from the historic town of Tavistock, close enough to be convenient for all your everyday needs, but far enough away to leave all the hustle and bustle behind you. Okehampton is about 20 minutes away, the A30 which is the main road down to Cornwall and up to Exeter is less than 15 minutes drive.
We are situated just off the A386 between Tavistock and Okehampton in a small hamlet called Cudlipptown just one mile from the village of Peter Tavy OS Grid Reference: SX 115 762
Despite its moorland location, we consider Moorview to be an ideal base for travelling all around Devon and Cornwall, the Cornish boarder is about 5 minutes drive on the other side of Tavistock. Whatever direction you drive, you will see views of Dartmoor where you will be able to spot ponies, sheep and cattle. We think you will agree that is a lovely way to start and finish any journey!
Moorview is around a four hour drive from West London and Birmingham and only a little longer from Coventry and Leicester etc (subject to weather and traffic conditions)
